What is it and how does it work? SkinPen is Micro-needling. SkinPen creates thousands of controlled micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating the body’s natural wound healing process. We all know, as we age our skin becomes compromised by the natural ageing process, genes, lifestyle, sun exposure and external pollution. The cells in the skin become lax, lazy and somewhat forget how to produce happy healthy cells. This is where Skinpen comes into play.. THESE MICRO-INJURIES TRIGGER YOURIMMUNE SYSTEM TO REMODEL THE SKIN, WHILE KEEPING THE OVERALL STRUCTURE OF THE SKIN IN TACT. In simpler terms it’s kicking the lazy cells up the butt, waking them up and refreshing their memory. These cells then begin their journey heading towards the top layers of skin, this journey can take up to 6-12 months, where you will see the results.  However, due to the resurfacing effect and the removal of dead cells, your skin will feel fresh, clean and glowing after 7 days or so. It is recommended you have between 3-6 treatments, spaced four weeks apart. Wendy can advise you on how many session you may require throughout your consultation as all skin types and needs are different, and results vary from client to client. Aftercare/Downtime SkinPen* Precision is a minimally invasive, in-office procedure with little to no downtime involved. That means you can get back to your life as soon as possible. Your skin will appear red/flushed post treatment, again this varies from client to client.  You will experience warmth/heat that is likeness to mild sunburn and will only last between 12-24 hours.
